The SMF will not have a booth at the ICM in Philadelphia.
Indeed, neither the issuance of visas by the host country nor its internal security—where martial law is regularly mentioned—appear to be guaranteed. Moreover, the SMF remains fundamentally attached to the legacy of Benjamin Franklin, inseparable from rational thought, and condemns distrust of science and any infringement of academic freedoms.

Никто не запрещает паре дюжин приглашенных докладчиков из Франции приехать на ICM и сделать доклад (французским гражданам американская въездная виза не требуется).
Другой вопрос, что удовольствие это не из дешевых (один регистрационный взнос больше 600 баксов, не говоря уже о гостинице и билетах). Возможно, SMF выдавала какие-то travel grants для поездки на конгресс (вероятно, они "накрылись" если вообще были).
